ARSENAL PLAN BENZEMA RAID
Fresh from their community shield win over Chelsea yesterday, Arsenal are strill being linked with a move for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.
According to Spanish publication AS, Arsene Wenger has set aside £45.6m to prise the France international away from the Bernabeu.
The report suggests Benzema is a priority for the north London club, who are looking to add a centre back and a striker before the close of the transfer window.
However, after yesterday's win at Wembley Wenger was questioned on the Benzema rumours and he replied: "No, honestly, no. I don’t know who brings that up."
